Alright. This guide is a guide on WHAT you need to know about TH upgrading and defense/elixir/w/e upgrading
First off. Loot Penatlies. This things suck. You learn to hate them. Unless ofc your th7 being attacked by th10. But here is a list of it

Note: These things thing that you have 2 builders until Mid th5 and 3 builders until mid TH8. Depending on play this can vary.

Now to define COC vocab.
TH = Town Hall.
CC = Clan Castle.
AD = Air Defense
AT = Archer Tower.
WT = Wizard Tower.
DE = Dark Elixir
Splash = Area damage. Damage that hits ALL Targets in its radius
Farming. Focusing on resources NOT trophies. Puts his TH outside usually.

Town Hall 1. Follow the tutorial... <.<
WITH ANY SPARE GOLD UPGRADE WALLS! IF YOU HAVE 4 MILLION GOLD AND A 1 MILLION UPGRADE SPEND THE REST ON WALLS!!!!
Town Hall 2 Upgrade both cannons at once to level 3. Then get your archers up. Finally your walls

Town Hall 3: Build your lab ASAP and a mortar. Then Clan castle. These are your BEST buildings until later on. (Lab ALWAYS is a priority)
Your mortars one shot any level 1 archers. It can easily kill tons of troops mainly archers at once. Once more cannons then archers. Extra gold?! WALLS!
I THINK this is the first TH you can get your CC so get it asap. Find a clan to join so you can get 10 capacity of troops for defense/attacking. Also donate otherwise YOU will be kicked

Town Hall 4. Lab. Mortar. CC. Cannon. Archer. Air defense. Walls.
You finally get an air defense. Now you wont be wrecked by air troops aka balloons. A level ONE air defense does 90! damage EVERY second. That wrecks ONLY AIR troops. Yes thats right. Air defense are DUH only targeting air. Having one really protected aka the only one you get until th7 redirects those ballooners from you taking say 100,000 gold from you to take someone else.

Townhall 5. Lab. Wizard (Get it dont upgrade till after mortar) Mortar. Wizard Upgrade. CC Cannon. Archer. Air Defense. Walls.
You get your second and last splash building!. Splash is your most important defense for farming. They say mortars mow down troops quickly? Nope Wizards do. They may do crappy dps at level 1-3 but after that they do sooooo much damage. Def upgrade these babies as a priority.

Town hall 6: The penultimate town hall of Farming lootz!
This town hall is nothing special. No new buildings. So just upgrade the usual. Lab then wizard then mortar then clan castle then cannon then archer then air then walls..

Town hall 7. The cream of the crop. The BEST town hall in terms of loot.
First start off with new buildings. New buildings = better. You also get Teslas. The 2nd faster shooting tower in the game. This thing doesnt do much damage at first but it quickly ramps up and does so much at level 7. (TH9) At this town hall follow previous steps but SERIOUSLY UPGRADE EVERYTHING! You get access to a hero. The barbarian king. He is NOT worth it until later in your TH7 life.

But max EVERYTHING. Collectors. Walls. EVERY SINGLE THING. If you don't finish walls here you might never finish them.
Everything EXPECT barbarian king. Unless you have excess dark elixir don't upgrade him. ARMY CAMPS ARE YOUR SECOND BIGGEST PRIORITY AFTER LAB

Now that your maxed out at th7 it is time to take a big downfall of loot. So get ready. Town hall 8 is coming here.

Town hall 8. Lab. Wizard Mortar Cannon Tesla Archer Tower Air defense Walls.
Same as always. But here you have less loot but epicer troops. Level 5. Personally this is one of the longer Townhalls due to most buildings going 2 levels instead of the traditonal 1 level(s). Walls are no longer THAT much of a priority. Level 7 is pretty scary as long as your defense is high enough.

Now that your maxed it is time to start closing on in pure farming hell.

Town Hall 9. If your splash is maxed your xbows are your primary prioity. Have 6 million gold ready and 40 thousand dark elixir becuase that will be the best thing. And have your elixir storage going pronto. You want to have level 6 troops starting asap. Personally depending on armys id go Giants-Archers-Barbs-Balloons. Lab-Xbows-Elixer-Wizards-Mortars-Cannons-Teslas-Archer Towers-Airdefense Walls.
Walls here from 9-10 are very expensives. Atleast have level 8 walls before th10. But yes. This is prob the TH you will very much hate. It is awful and ugly at times. The loot is semi decent. I personally make 10 million a day expect after updates.

Townhall 10. You are no longer a kid. Your a big bully. Congrats. Welcome to farming hell. Have fun.
Inferno Towers - Xbows- Everything else.
Thats all i gotta say. Im not th10 yet so yeah.
